I want to know if this is the universal truth about Wal Mart

Entrance is on the Left...Exit is on the right...

Facing the entrance from the outside.

My local one has one main entrance with I believe 4 double doors, enter on the right side and exit on the left.

Last time I visited the place, there's just one sliding door in the center. I know Target is Right In, Left Out.

I have only been to Wal-Fart 3 times in the past year. Each time was due to the fact I got a Wal-Fart gift card from my company and needed to use them. Each time I come back home angy, depressed, blood pressure is a little higher, and pretty much just in a pissy mood.

This is not due to Wal-Mart itself but the people who shop there:

YOU DO NOT NEED TO WALK SIDE BY SIDE AND TAKE UP THE ENTIRE ISLE!!!

YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE THE SELF CHECKOUT IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE IT, NOR SHOULD YOU STRIKE UP A 5 MINUTE CONVERSATION WITH THE PERSON YOU ARE WITH; OTHER PEOPLE NEED TO USE THE DAMN THING!!!!

YOU DO NOT NEED TO TELL THE CASHIER TO "HOLD ON I FORGOT SOMETHING" AND WALK TO THE OTHER END OF THE STORE TO GET YOUR FAT ASS ANOTHER TUB OF CRISCO FOR YOUR FRIED CHICKEN/OKRA/POTATOES/SNICKERS/KIT-KITS AND M&M'S!!!!

YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE THE SCOOTER JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE FAT; ARE YOU TOO STUPID TO FIGURE OUT THAT WALKING MIGHT HELP YOU LOSE SOME OF THAT WEIGHT?!?!?!

ARRRG!!!!

All done, move along now.

EDIT: Spacing and added a few more !!!!!!'s

Negative.

I live near a walmart that is right in, left out, and a target that is left in, right out.

There's no reasonable purpose to making a store that way in every scenerio, and I'm certain there are stores that adjust based on local zoning laws.

Exit is always nearest to the cash registers and the entrance is always furthest away. This is the way with most, if not all, major retail outlets.

The super Walmart here has 2 entrances with an "Enter/Exit" glass above each one. The names are obviously just printed on glass and put into place when they put together the front doors.
What's funny is the GM entrance has the Enter on the left side and the Exit on the right - the grocery main entrance has the Enter on the right side and the Exit on the left.

Seems they put them on backwards when they were putting the front doors together and never fixed it

Our Local Wal-Mart has Left "Enter", Right "Exit" when entering from outside, just the opposite, of course when exiting from the inside.

And yes jhayx7, we could probably fill several threads with rants about the Wal-Mart denizens!

Wrong. In general the entrance on the left side of a Supercenter will have the entry on the left and exit on the right. The entrance on the right of a Supercenter will have the entry on the right and exit on the left. The idea is to keep people who are entering the store from crossing the paths of the people exiting the checkout lines.
