I want to install NT4 on the same hard drive as WIN98, please HELP???

Well right now I have only a 6.4 gig HD and as I am studying to become an MCSE in the NT4 area, what I want to do is to install NT Workstation 4 OR NT Server 4 on my computer, so that I can switch back and forth between the two for practice in, for the NT stuff. I have never installed NT4 on my PC and I'm wondering, will I need to go and buy a new physical hard drive? I have about 2gigs free on my PC right now, but is there any way I can install the NT4 o/s without Formating my HD and losing all of the Data I have now in my WIn 98?? I really don't want to re-install WIn98, as backing up all of my Data would be too much of a hassel.

Could I just take the free HD space I have now, and create a new partition (a.k.a new Drive D:\, and then format it in NTFS). Or will I have to re-format my HD with FAT 16 and then re-install win98 in FAT 16; so that I can then put the boot filies for NT4 on my FAT 16 partition???

DO I SOUND TOTALY CONFUSED, I know that once I'm an MCSE I should know the answeres to these questions, but untill then..... 🙂

If the 2GB free is already allocated to a partition, you're out of luck. Personally, I would rather try to set up a small network using some old pentium system that could be found for cheap. That would be a more realistic (and costly) solution.
