I want to head on down to CompUSA to pick up a ReplayTV but...

... I'm worried that as soon as I buy one it will go on sale! It's selling for $299 right now for the 80 hour model but I noticed that Tivo's 80 hour model has a sale for $249 (after $50 rebate). So it makes me think that ReplayTV will be offering one at the same price in the near future! But I want something to play with right now!

Also, I'm thinking of getting a Sony STR-DE595/DE695 receiver for my home theater setup! I've heard a lot of bad things about their music playing ability (for movies I heard they are okay) but they are the cheapest receivers with component video (HD - 80 Mhz passthru) switching that I could find. My main purpose is for movies and giving me additional video inputs to my TV.

I feel like buying something! I feel like a girl in a shoe store with a sale going on!

Just buy it. Prices will always go down. Don't forget about the subscription for the ReplayTV. That's what keeping me from buying a DVR.

If you can find one, go to some place that sells them with a post-sale pricematch guarantee like Circuit City does.
