After watching the frontline documentary I think I will pass. Doctor goes there and helps several hundred people see again by doing eye surgeries. The first thing the locals do when the bandages are removed is rush to the portrait of the leader on the wall and bow down and thank him for the surgery and how great it is to see his image again. The doctor doesn't even get a nod.

Be sure to check out the local library too, all the books are written by the dear leader.


They put a park bench under glass because the leader sat on it.

I highly recommend this show -- it is available on Netflix. To add to what you said, it was amazing how it seemed that each patient tried to outdo the previous patient with their praise of the Dear Leader and the Great Leader. I remember one old man outdid them all and praised them and said just give him a gun and he would shoot Americans.

Well North Korea recently released a happiness index and they didn't even rank their own country #1 that went to China. NK came in at a lowly #2. USA was #203.

Of course they look happy. They're getting paid to look happy, because they're actors. There are some "selected ones" that get to do that. The other several million live in absolute poverty.

Brian...all the stories about the Democratic Republic of North Korea are just lies spread by the capitalist pigs in an attempt to discredit the rule of the Dear Leader and his family. The western countries refuse to admit that the country is prosperous and the people are happy.
I think you should go visit. Maybe write a pome honoring the Dear Leader and read it in a very public place.
