I Want to Glue The Guy Who Did This to the Road

What kind of psychopath glues a kitten to a road?
I can see other people beeping as from their perspective youve just stopped dead in the road. I stopped once to pick up a hedgehog that was bumbling across the road and an HGV driver stopped in the other lane to totally block the traffic so it was safe. TBF most of the reactions I got were thumbs.

Horrible, but well done to that man. I've rescued my share of turtles from the road, only had one guy ever scream and honk at me. Most people up here give me the thumbs up or show me some applause.

I agree though, the perp who did that? They should be affixed to some asphalt themselves. Preferably in July/August.

We had a neighbor kid...maybe 10-12 years old, duct tape a kitten to the pavement in front of his house on trash day. I caught him doing it, freed the cat from the road, went to his parents...kid denied it, so, in spite of the duct tape still on the kitten, the parents were, "oh no, Brandon would NEVER do that!"

I am wondering about how that person did it. Applied glue to a live animals feet, then held them still, in place on a highway until the glue sets?? My first thought is it didn't happen, at least not in the way described.

Yeah I had the same thought as well. While it is a feels good story for sure the likely hood of it actually being true is questionable.

This is freaking horrible thing to do. I just don't get what makes a person do something like this and sadly it happens all too often. I assume the situation is that their cat had kittens and they don't know what to do with them, but why do this?! The shelter will take them if nobody else will. They often have a drop box, like they do for babies at fire departments. In some cases it's even worse, sometimes the animals are stolen. This is one of the reasons I would never let my cats outside. Too many crazies out there.

Recently in my city two cats were found in a large storage tote on the side of the road only a few km away from the shelter. The person that did it had the "decency" to drill a bunch of holes in the box, but still a horrible thing to do. This was when we were having huge heat waves so it got insane hot in there.

Sorry but I don't find this believable. Sounds like some made up story for social media likes.

Hard for me to believe a psychopath kidnaps a kitten, drives down a freeway, pulls over - spread glue on the kittens paws and places it in the roadway and drives off.

Lots of crazy people out there, it's not really that far fetched unfortunately. It could be fake but I don't see the point of faking something like that.

You obviously don't understand how social media works. It's a made up tale for views.

This is why I don’t click on anything put on The Dodo: heroes “rescuing” animals they put in danger.

But what's the point? Getting lot of views/likes on something that's real or even implied to be a joke is one thing, but what is the point on something completely fabricated? Not saying it's not fake but just seems weird to me someone would do this. There is zero sense of accomplishment there, if accomplishment is the right word to use.

I've gotten more views than that posting memes, no need to fake stuff if all you want is views. You don't make money off small accounts either so it can't really be a money thing.

Could be fake but then again who knew a well known politician would get busted giving a handjob in public??

The pissed off drivers part sounds right. A few years ago I stopped my car (on the shoulder) to move a box full of metal fasteners out of the road and the cars that passed me during that process all honked and looked pissed.

People are assholes even if you do the right thing. Just have to shrug it off and continue with your day.

I guess the upside is that Brandon will likely kill his parents next.

Well, according to several posters here, that either didn't happen at all or is merely highly unlikely to have happened.

Plus . . . Brandon would NEVER do that!

The original story may be true, but happened five years ago. In one account goo gone removed the glue. In another, a vet removed the glue.

The man also created a facebook page and wrote two books so far about it:

This really makes me wonder if it's a social media stunt. There were no other witnesses to the kitty being in the road?

The Romans will be itching for a good ole crucifixion .
That was my first thought, or hang em by their own entrails. I am usually more compassionate, and somewhat against death penalties in general, but humans can be scum, far more so than cats. Those who would harm a kitten get the worst punishment available.

Also, my apologies for the politics in OT. I got a bit worked up.
