I would also suggest you wait until they are in stock, or goto some B&M stores and grab a set of them. They're worth the money and I think their quality puts cambridge to shame. I owned the DTT2500, and I got really tired of them..

I have the DTT3500, it's a lot better than the DTT2500 and it definitely beats any 4.1 system if you intend to play DVDs with them.

I just ordered the Klipsch Promedia V.2-400. I really wanted the 4.1 but don't feel like waiting and there are no retail stores around me that have them. Also, the headphone jack and aux input don't really matter to me at all. The improved midrange would be nice but I don't intend to use these for critical listening. The V.2-400 will kick butt just fine. I wouldn't recommend the Cambridge. I've previously owned the FPS1000 and bought the FPS2200 5.1 the other day. The 2200's are terrible and are going back in the morning. If you don't want to wait go with the V.2-400 from Outpost.com for $249 shipped overnight.

Why not purchase the 4.2 setup that klipsch is offering in place of the backordered 4.1 setup?

personally i rather have the 4.1 system

the 4.2 setup is just 2 2.1 systems hooked up almost totally seperate

there are 2 volume controls, and you need two plugs to hook them up.....
i have the v.2-400 system and there are many wires as it is.....i cant imagine having more than the amount i have already......

Yeah, but the 4.1's are backordered, the 4.2's are not. Having 2 plugs is usually not a problem, and there is not that many wires.

If you want good digital 5.1 sound, then go for the DTT3500s.
However, if you can settle for for 4.1, or 4.2 with great (analog) sound, go for the Klipsch.
If I had the dough, I would go for the Klipsch Promedia 4.2s.

i'd say from what i've read the dtt's are good if you use them in digital mode. Then again, i'm not exactly and expert on these, someone gave me a set of fps2000s and i think they are great, of course running in digital mode.

My order for the Promedia V.2-400 were cancelled by Outpost 5 minutes after placing the order. They said they are discontinued. I figured as such but they had it listed as in stock with overnight delivery. Works out for the best though as I just found an online store with the Promedia 4.1 IN STOCK for $279. Life is good. :)

I almost ordered the Midilands but read that they don't support 4 channel gaming. So... decided against them. Other than that they look like very nice speakers.

I did a lot of research on Klipsch vs. Cambridge DT3500 and ultimately decided to go with the Cambridge speakers. Their digital 5.1 sound is incredible in games like Thief 2. Yes, the Klipsch has more volume but I never crank my Cambridge to the max anyway.

Is Klipsch 4.1 good for DVD movies?
For what I have heard, most DVDs are in for Dolby Digital mode, not THX ... so if I watch DVD Movies a lot, should I choose DTT3500??
Anyone know how Klipsch4.1 sound for DVD movies?

Sorry, I would have private messaged you, but you don't have them enabled. Click on "Profile" to enable them -- they're nice!

Anyway, I have a Pentium 233 MMX and was wondering just how you OC'd yours. :D Probably through jumpers, huh? Well, I have some crappy Hewlitt-Packard OEM motherboard (I don't even know who made it), but if you know anyway to easily OC it, or just want to discuss how you did, enable PM's and message me! :D

I have the DTT3500, it's a lot better than the DTT2500

not really, they are only marginally better.. the specs basically have remained the same. They swapped out the center channel(soundworks based) for a larger speaker(microsoundworks based). Mind you both these speaker designs are like 4+ years old..i've had both sets. Microsoundworks sats while better then soundworks sats get harsh at louder volumes.. and definetly have lousy highs.
