I want to gather info about what video card is working with Epox 8KTA2

Please post your working and non-working video card with Epox 8KTA2.

ELSA MX, always freezes when scrolling, pond demo, and almost anything. mb bios 12/01.
no matter what driver.

EP-8KTA+(12/01/00 BIOS) with Matrox G400 32MB single head. No problems. Not as fast as some other cards in games but the best visual quality overall. Very happy with it!!

Had the same problem with computer locking while browsing with my 8kta2 (mouse would still move tho.) Think I solved it by using less agressive memory settings. You also might want to try the 5.xx drivers instead of the 6.xx. Oh, using a visiontek geforce 2 gts.

I have an InnoVision Tornado GeForce2 MX, using 6.31 detonator and 11/10/00 MB bios
No problems. I have the bios set to "optimal" default.

Visiontek MX Detonator driver 7.17, Epox 8kta+ BIOS 11/10

I used the Elsa Erazor X Geforce 256
with the 8kta2 with absolutely zero
problems.

Used the detonator reference drivers
straight from NVidia instead
of the supplied drivers.

Kingofcomputer, have you tried the beta bios dated 12/13/00? You can download it here. Cured all my random lock up problems. Oh yeah, I'm also using a geforcemx2 videocard.

I don't need to try that now since I've returned the card.
This bad ELSA card even gives same problem in a Celeron/Intel chipset system.
