Been working in Project Mgmt for 2 years this Sept of 2007. I'm planning to move on to a better job this summer. I guess this thread is the very first hard action I'm taking towards preparing for it.

Little shy of two-years post-undergrad experience is a time to move on correct? I think I have a pretty good resume because I was promoted once. I was a Mgmt/Marketing double major in college.

Now, I really want to travel for my next job. 50-90% Few of my friends are doing this and are loving it. I figure if I don't do it now, when? (I'm 25)

So where can I start for jobs that mainly focus on traveling? What are some key search strings to use at Monster? Consulting?

Please advise and thanks as always ATOT!

Go into "consulting." I'm not sure what that job actually entails, but a couple of friends are in the "consulting" industry and make a bunch of money, as well as travel quite a bit. I think traveling for business is less glamorous than it sounds once you're actually in a hotel 3 nights a week.

You could combine your marketing and project management experience for a sales position with most any small/midsize IT firm.

Yea, it all depends on where in life you are at & who you are. Traveling frequently is something a family man wouldn't want or someone who likes to be cozy. And I feel as though now is the perfect time for me.

I'm sick of sitting in a cubicle everyday. I'd rather go to different places, consult to customers on-hand, fly to places, etc...

I'm well aware of the cons of traveling- you are pretty much stuck between hotel and on-site and are not actually 'visiting' other cities, you miss home and your friends, etc.

Few of my friends do it and they love it. I think I'm the type of person who would too. So my mind is pretty much made up at this point. I just have to find the right job or learn to look at the right place.

Please advise further. :)
