I've got a Dr appointment next week, so I'll ask him, but this is driving me nuts.

I've been trying to lower my food intake. Not low carb or any crap like that, just generally stopping eating before I'm full. But when I do that, I get the shakes bad. Like low blood sugar shakes. This is scaring me.

A few years ago I got myself back down to the 160 I should be at by only having a Jamba Juice for lunch, but eating normal dinners. I did that a few days in a row recently and couldn't even drive I was shaking so bad.

WTF? I'm not diabetic or anything am I?

When you get the shakes, immediately eat something - healthy.

Trail mix is good choice. Seriously. It has dried fruit for some instant energy, and nuts for lots of protein, plus vitamins, minerals, good fats, etc..

I used to make my own trail mix kinda. I'd go to the bulk section of your local large grocery store, and start with a trail mix that they have. They're usually a pretty good base, with peanuts, raisins and sunflower seeds. I would then add.. just about anything "trail mix like" that you could imagine.

honey roasted sunflower seeds, craisins(dried cranberries), pecans, hazlenuts, pumpkin seeds, shredded coconut, dates, diced dried apricots, walnuts, diced dried pineapple, roasted almonds, etc etc..

yum.. I need to start doing that again.
