since wma and mp3 are both lossy formats, there is going to be some loss in data when changing from one to the other. whether your creative computer speakers allow you to hear it or not is another matter. There will be some degredation though. if you have modest speakers than don't worry about it, if you are an audiophilie then you may want to do something else.

i don't follow. What i mean is that when one encodes in mp3 format, it looses some data inorder to compress. That is why, for quality purposes, it s better to listen to the original .wav insted of an mp3 made from it. So if you encode from wma to mp3, that same compression and loss of data will occur again.
