are you sure your 2007fp has component inputs? I thought they just had s-video and composite.

i didnt know 2007fp has component? i have a 2407FPW and that has it. my friend's 2405FPW does as well.

you should try a VGA cable as well. (yes they exist for XBOX1)

edit: that's what your link is! so yes it should work. 2007 FP has VGA and no component, and the cable in your ebay link can connect fine from the XBOX AV component/hi-def kit to the monitor with no problems

Doesn't look like it.

I have a 2007FP, and your options are DVI, VGA, S-video and RCA. I have an xbox360 connected to it right now, via RCA.

the OP's link is a VGA-component cable

so the VGA side goes into the lcd, and the component into the XBOX AV kit

Yeah most monitors won't do component over VGA. You'll need a transcoder like mentioned above.

I have a VD-Z3 like mentioned above and it works great. Doesn't work so well for 480i PS2 games, so don't buy it intending to use it for anything but your Xbox.

You need to get the xbox360 vga cable. Using RCA is like having a ferrari but only using it to go to the grocery store down the block.

oh...i actually thought the 2007wfp had component as well. guess not...no wonder my brother was so persistent on me getting the 2407 because of "more inputs all around".

damn it I screwed it up. Sorry guys! I have a 2007fp and I want to connect an xbox not xbox 360 to it. I have the component breakout box for it. So I want a component to VGA cable to connect to monitor.

This won't work as a component to vga cable isn't a true vga cable. It's just the component signal being changed to a different connector. Unless your monitor supports component input, it's a no go. You'll need a VGA transcoder. Figure $50-$60.

The component breakout box doesn't help any really. Most of the transcoders for the Xbox come with the cable that goes straight into the transcoder from the Xbox. No breakout box needed.
