I want to change my user name

episodic

Lifer
I know that I have see here before to message a mod - but I don't have any clue who a mod is?

If I can do it here, I'd like my nick to be "episodic".

To Whomever:

There was a link under my posting about click here to answer. I answered it and now I see a checkmark under my icon with it checked. Also below the line is visible above my post:

Not sure if I was supposed to 'answer' this or not. I can't see it not logged in. . .

If this is some sort of response, I'm not sure what to do next. I did try to log in as 'episodic' but it was a no go for now.

Thanks!

The answer item is there so that when somene answers your question you can check that off and everyone will know you are finished, that no more replies are needed.

You send a private message to "Anandtech Moderator". None of us know specifically who is a Mod so messages to that general name will reach them.

buyer262000, Since allisolm answered your question you should mark that post as the answer. That is how to use that feature. Only the original poster or a Mod can mark a post as an answer.

Thanks, I had not seen this feature in any other forum until now. I'm not trying to rush, just curious about the procedure. Do they (the mods) pm you back, send you an email confirmation, or do you just try to log in and your old id does not work anymore? I don't wanna get locked out by accident 🙂
