i want to buy cable labels...

ok.... when i worked as a network tech at uni, we used these colorless booklets of cable labels that you wrote on and then wrapped tape around to label your cables. i want to buy these similar labels for my power cords but i can't figure out what the heck they're actually called.

does anyone know what they are? i don't want a homemade "scotch tape" solution... i want something a little more durable.

i wouldn't call them "cable ties." technically, they're nothing more than sturdier scotch tape with a visible white part that you can write on.

i hate cable ties, tbh... too thick for the scissors... that's now what i'm looking for.

I use address labels with a fine felt pen.

i'm not looking for a label machine either and no thanks to address labels with a fine felt pen (while that is a good idea, the ability for it to hold up on the floor with things constantly rubbing into it would be questionable at best)... i really want something sturdy, not easily rippable.

cmon, these are made SPECIFICALLY for patch panels setups and cables... now what the heck are they called?

Not sure what they are called but check electrical supply stores or websites. They are used alot to run wires though the floors and into panel clusters. Our electrician at work uses them all the time I think he gets them at Grainger.com.

thanks... closer to what i'm looking for but i dont know if this is it....

on the wire, it looks like a little white tag hanging off... i dont know if this is the same thing because i don't see enough clear tape
