I want to buy a used version of AutoCad LT 2004 - 2006. Do I need to do anything special to transfer the licence to me?

Buying a used version of AutoCad will save me $400-$500 dollars. I am not familiar with buying a used version of this as you have to register it and get an activation code. If the person selling it already activiated it do I need to call AutoDesk or will it work fine. Does anyone have any experience with this product. I have a demo version and I can choose to buy it and it asks for a bunch of info along with a serial number and activation/registration code. I see it somewhat like windows as being a pain to transfer to another party. It has got to work or people wouldn't be selling it but I want to make sure before I am stuck with a $450 program than locks after 30 days or I don't want to have to pay AutoDesk more money to activate it or transfer the licence.

Thanks

Thats BS on the companys part. I wouldn't buy a product from a company that wouldn't allow this. I mena how many people who go through the trouble to do this would make a backup copy for their own use.... I mean thats all that is to stop, If I was gonna pirate it I wouldnt' ask about transfering it legally.......
