I want to buy a new socket a board, suggestions??

Preferably one with onboard sound since its a secondary computer. It doesn't need to be overclockable, but would be nice. will be throwing in a duron 800, one hdd, one cdrom, v3, and nic, and that is it. any suggetions? I would like spend as least as possible.

Hmm, maybe look into 1 motherboard based on the kt133e chipset? Prices are around 100 for them. They are good for overclocking and I do Think you can get one with sound. Some are the asus a7ve, not sure on the name, but Know there is such a motherboard, abit kt7e. Those are some, they would be Perfect for your duron I would Think.

you can get something really cheap like ecs or pc chips etc for about $70, or you can spend a little more and get a pretty good board (still cheap) like the epox 8kta3 for $90.

the epox board will run the duron, but also be able to run any of the new athlons

oops i guess i should add that the epox board has onboard sound (most new boards do)
