I want to buy a $500 Digital Camera

I am looking for one where I can add lens to it and so on forth...

I gotta agree... You can get the Digital Rebel (300D) for ~$600 online though.

For a regular person who wants to take awesome pics, the S2 IS is probably better.

If you want to be able to add lenses to it, you only *real* choice is to pick up a last call 300D (Original D-Rebel) or pick one up from ebay or a fs/t forum.

That's your best bet for $500.

I would go with the Canon G6, also. I have a G5, and it's an awesome camera. The ability to put on a telephoto, wide angle, and filters makes it even more versitile.

Proud owner of a G6...excellent, hi-res shots and much more portable than lugging around an SLR...face it, sometimes you wanna take some shots with having to carry an SLR around and the G6 is an excellent mix of size and quality

SD400 or SD500. I'd rather have something with me. the S2 IS is too large.
