What the heck is the official name of the valve on tires?? I have this design floating in my head about a CTIS system that would work well. Set beads on tires, allow for quick deflation, etc.

schraeder valves are used on car tires and older/ low end bicycles

presta valves are used for bicycle tire that carry a higher PSI load. (80+ psi)

i was looking for schrader valves. A 1/4" female connector will fit on a schrader valve, correct?

obviously you didnt see "central." Central meaning center. I want be able to deflate or inflate my tires all at once or in any combination. IE: fill a leaking tire using air from the other tires and to create a normal pressure between each. I want to be able to connect a compressor to a central valve which will fill up 1, 2, 3 or 4 or my tires are once along with gauging pressure in them. Driving 5 miles to the gas station from Grayling, Mi on 10psi was an interesting experience that i really dont want to do again.

It'd probably be a lot easier to just keep a spare tire in the car.

not when all the tires are at 10. I want to use the AC compressor to inflate all the tires.

How do you get all your tires to 10 PSI? How often does that happen? It seems like you're going to a lot of trouble to avoid something that only happens once a year at most.

more than once a year :) Anytime i am offroad. Its better than spending $100 on a rapid deflator and then another $200 on a compressor and stuff to re inflate them one at a time.
