I want to be able to record audio off my TV set to my HD

I can record streaming audio off the net now using MusicMatch JukeBox

Hey there,

RCA and Composite are used here interchangebly.
There are some assumptions I am going to make. I am assuming your TV has RCA
composite connection....CORRECT ??
For this all you would need is a MALE (1/8 in. phono plug IE: like those used for headphone) ->FEMALE (RCA AUDIO splitter). You can pick this up at RADIOSHACK. 🙂

This is how it would look....
............................----------->RCA (Left Channel)
(1/8 Plug) --------->
............................----------->RCA (Right Channel)

The 1/8 plug, plugs into the IN part of your sound card/chip. The RCA plugs into your LEFT/RIGHT channels
of your TV. Then you would tell your SOUND MIXER in your system tray to accept incoming audio signals
by clicking the CHECKMARK on AUDIO IN. This would tell it to get a receiving signal.
You would then capture it as a .WAV file and convert it to MP3 using 3rd party software like WINAMP 2.XX
WINAMP 3.XX I do not think does this conversion anymore.

If you don't have Composite (RCA) connections on your TV (19inch or below) you can use a VCR and use the composite
(RCA) connections on it....as long as the VCR is receiving your TV signal...IE: from cable and such.

Hope this gets you started...
