These two applications can be put on a USB Flash drive they do not need to be installed.

1. CrystalMark. http://majorgeeks.com/CrystalMark__d5547.html

2. PCWizard (the same people that gave us CPUZ).

Here is the page, http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

Download the ZIP version, http://www.cpuid.com/download/pcw2008_v183.zip

Note 1. When using in both the ZIP version you can unzip it to a Folder of your choice and use it as is.

Note 2. PCWizard gives also a frame of reference to other hardware. I find their comparison results rather Bizarre, and ignore them.

Programs like this are good if you make comparisons between system that you have and use it as a frame of reference.

Have your USB pen handy and head over here. 😀

Only part of what is on this page can run from a USB.

Many of them need to be installed, and thus can be used only on the computer that they are installed on.

Yes but there's a plethora of stuff there and many can be installed on a PC and the installation folder raided for an exe that can be copied to an empty folder on a USB drive (named the benchmark name, for example) and work. Obviously ones like 3DMark won't but you get the idea.
