I want this, in an NSX, stat.

f1 parts have a very very short lifespan, much like drag engines... insane hp/(whatever) usually means insane wear and tear

Less than usable torque at low-end and nominal range FTL.

It's fine in a F1 when the car weighs less than a certain ATOT individual's chin, but in a production vehicle it'd blow.

I wonder what's the power band is like, can anyone find any specs?. I'm sure there won't be much power at lower RMPs, but let's say they incorporate the rev limiter to about 12K, increasing engine life, do something with the gears, I'm sure I'll find some usable power there somewhere 😀.

What's the hold up?

19,000 RMP goodness... I think I just wet myself.

That would actually be horrible in a car.

I don't know, I think it works pretty good in an F1 car.

Aside from the horrible gas mileage, difficulty in keeping it running, and noise that would eventually get tiring if not make you go deaf, it would be fun in a car.

Actually that's a hybrid I would like to see. Put an electric engine for around town cruising, but then you could fire up the F1 engine (with the electric doing the work until it reaches a good powerband level at about 10,000 RPM or so).

Anybody know how the chin thing started? I remember seeing the pic a long while ago, but never new the connection...

BTW, i think the nsx is too heavy for the engine.

That was hilariously sneaky 😀
