I jsut got cited for reckless driving (on the birthday no less) so buying this would be foolish or shortsided at best....

My Honda is on its last legs though...:(

the 97-99 CL 2.3 do have a 5 speed option. that model's also on my list, although my gf doesn't really like the look of it.

in any case, just remember honda's recent automatic transmission troubles. 6th gen accords, last gen TLs, and yes, that CL right thar. too bad cause i woulda considered it.

This is making me go nuts:(

Then buy the car.

Like I said, I am waiting for my court date so I can analyze my fate. If worse coems to worse and I get my license revoked or somethign malicious done to me suc has rape-esque insurance rates, this would not be a wise move.

Patience is a virtue but it is also a bitch:|

meh...

buy what you can afford, I make 16/hr and I still opted for a 2004 nissan sentra 1.8s (man my friends never let me live that down) with 15K miles that I can pay off in about a year and a half. After that I am going to save my cash up for a nice down payment for a (by that time) 2005 or 2006 mazda 6 and sell the Nissan to my cousin (who will be gong to college or working for maybe a few grand).

Those CL Type S are really nice cars, I wonder if the manual transmissions have the same problems as the autos. You should look into a 95 Acura Legend LS Coupe 6 speed if you can find one.

Oh, they're sweet looking cars I absolutely love the newer CLs and TLs. But that tranny has HUGE issues, to the point where its down right scary. I've read huge horror stories of the car gear's disengaging while driving down the freeway, blowing up randomly, having to get it fixed several times by the dealership only to break again not too long after.

That is probally the only thing I have against the car itself (though RWD would be nice). Aside from that, its a damn sweet car. I really wish they offered a manual for the V6s.

However, I'm sure for 13k, you can find a better car :). My brother got a nice 1999 BMW E46 328i for $13k. Manual transmission AND RWD :). It took him a while, but he got a great car for a great price. Just don't be in a rush, and a great deal is bound to come around sometime.

EDIT: Oh, I decided to look around Autotrader. C5 Corvettes and S2000s are still expensive. Dammit! I'm hoping to own one... one day.
