Just saw this vid of an exciting new concept in American autos . . . putting the trunk up front and the engine . . . gasp . . . in the rear.

This new Chevy for 1960 certainly looks rugged and reliable. Plus, like a dog, you can teach it to roll over!

The subject of Ralf Nader's Unsafe at any speed. This car was so dangerous that it brought in a new era of auto safety mattering. If you were rich enough you bought a Volvo or Saab if not you took your chances of dying ugly in an American car. This is also the era that an American company was researching how to make their cars rust out faster.

Had two myself, including a very pretty 1966 Monza convertible, fire engine red with a white top, 4speed, 110 hp engine, aftermarket dual exhausts, baby moon hubcaps. Noice, it was.

There is a 61 corvair van that showed up on my local facebook market place for $4500 that looks pretty solid. I'd love to go pick it up but I already have 3 cars 2 of which I never drive.

Anyone that still thinks that is serious misinformed. Nader's chief concern was selling books so he wrote a book that would sell.

Yep, and the "dangerous" part really only applied to the 62 models. Changes were implemented after that and they were fine. Damage to its rep was already done, though.
