Well, here's my guess.

Turbines are probably around $4000 each.

Radio - $1500+

Kit - $1500+

Asst odds and ends $500

I'd say at minimum, $10000, possibly even $13000-ish.

Just an educated guess though.

Damn, and I though the 1.2k that my dad and I speant on an fifth scale car was a lot. Although the car doesn't compare to the plane, that is one expensive hobby. Imagine if the plane goes out of radio range.

Man that is a cool jet. I would love to have a model that big... though imagine if you crashed it into another person or a car... that would be alot of damage. Sounds fun ;)

"There's nothing amazing, just the norm."

Care to explain that? :p

pwned :p.

Oh shush. I just omitted the part of the quote about 1/8th scale working jets.

Sure you did :p. So, who's getting me this working 1:8th scale jet for my birthday?

Way too hard to be your first RC plane! :)

Rest assured that the guys that fly these things have wrecked/crash their share of aircraft before getting to this stage.

How fast?

I betcha it'd do a couple hundred MPH... if not more. But, I don't think guys fly these things topped out. It'd go out of range in now time!
