When I was a kid, I remember my dad bought me this little metalcannon from the fireworks stand. I want to say it was in the '70's. It had a little reservoir for, I think, water and you put some gray powder in it, and you set it off using a flint and plunger assembly on the back cover.

Had lots of fun with it through the years experimenting with various other reagents. Oh the memories...
