Im running XP Pro right now, and for some reason I always want to throw on Linux.. Like RH9/Mandrake.. each time I have a task I want to get done.. this last time was rip a dvd.. got really close.. actually started ripping 🙂 Anyways it was a big pain in the ass to do it.. depends this and that.. it goes on and on.. I want a distro that will work well with 2 xeons, scsi, and ripping dvd's. Im looking for something with KDE 3, fast, and easy package management, or atleast being able to compile without errors 🙁

I like Debian, but I think if it's your first time with linux, you might want the ease of install of Mandrake, then move on to Debian when you're ready. BTW, I see you have a Samtron 75V monitor. I have the same one, but mine is going dead (it flickers on the right side).
