considerably longer than that... like a decade..
I've always been afraid to pursue it aggressively, out of fear that he will rush the job and I'll get a crappy mount.
I just rattled off some emails to whoever's address I could find at the DEC, hoping they can get me in touch with the proper people there.
And, I rattled off emails to all sorts of people in the NTA (national taxidermists assoc.)

a decade. that's nuts. You could have grown another one that size in your bathtub by now. 🙂

30" doesn't sound like too big for a walleye, though it's been more than 12 years since I've been walleye fishing up on Lake Erie. Fish seem to grow with age you know. 😉
