Better yet - just do one fresh installation with all your essential utilities and software - and use Acronis to make an image. Then you can just reload it. I've done this for a long time.

Yes another big QFT :p

I tried this program and posted about it HERE, i also included what i thought the best way to utilise the program aswell .. i highly recommend that people try it out. !!!!!!

Just a note if you do try it, and use the procedure i provided .. reboot a couple of times and re-run "Ultra Fast Booting" a second time, then reboot a couple of times more .. and you will notice a MASSIVE difference in boot time and responsiveness all over.. ESPECIALLY if you are using Norton Internet Security 2005 etc ..

Just try it i personally highly recommend it

EDIT: this is not just in response to the OP .. but everyone, try it ;)

The biggest difference i found in speed on my pc is by far the hard drive.

After going from a 7200RPM 8MB buffer SATA drive to my Raptor 10K 74GB, i would personally never go back to 7200rpm drives.

Another vote for Raptor

yes i have one as well .. i like the speed .. but hate the noise it makes when it operates especially when under heavy load :| .. apart from that excellent  .. ohh and ive always wanted to try out a SCSI 15k drive just to experience the SCSI goodness :D
