I'm trying to add an AGP Radeon LE video card to my SD11 motherboarded system and it won't work. I removed all existing drivers from previous card (3DBlasterSav4)and the card ,in safe mode, then I made the AGP card primary in the BIOS and it won't work. Actually when I try to boot up the computer it's almost like the slot is broken because the computer won't even boot or send any kind of message to the monitor. In other words, the use of the AGP slot is causing the system to hang before it even tries to boot up. I have checked the card in another machine and it works fine. I have a fairly late BIOS (NC608) and the rest of the system runs great. As a matter of fact, I just did a clean reinstall and it runs perfectly except for this. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated, Thanks

Make sure that the Radeon is all the way in.. I myself have had some problems getting a Radeon all the way in the AGP slot. There was one time that I had to push so hard that I was afraid that I might chip the contacts on the Radeon itself. It slid down further, though, and the computer ran fine after that. Just try to apply a little bit more pressure when putting the Radeon in the AGP slot and see if that helps anything.

PlunX thanks for the reply. I did just what you said and made sure the card is all the way in and got basically the same results. Then I reinstall the 3Dsav4 and the drivers and restart forgetting to take out the Radeon and this time the computer sees it, I think, and it proceeds to attempt to install standard PGA drivers. I think why not, so I let it go aheadbut then the properties detail tells me that my existing system drivers won't operate more than one adapter and monitor. With all that said the interesting part here is that the computer saw the card that time.

so now what do I do??
