Hi.

I'm in the planning stages of a new system right now and I've picked
out everything 'cept the video card.

I really want to do Dual head. I'd like to be able to do Dual DVI.
The best sould be Dual DVI both on the AGP slot.

I've heard that some future NV25 card may have Dual DVI connectors,
but NV25 or not I can't believe that Dual DVI isn't on some companies
drawing board.

On top of the dual DVI, I'd also like TV out (which shouldn't be too
hard to find,) TV tuning, Video In, DVD acceleration (though I know
that's not really needed these days,) and the ability to show the
DVD on the TV and still be able to use both desktops on the monitors.

So that means I'm thinking:

1 2xDVI AGP card
1 TVin/Tuner/out, Video In/Out PCI Card

Does the latter exist? ANy suggestions for these?

If I'm using the DVI interface on the AGP card, then I won't have
a VGA signal to pass through the PCI card. Does that mean I'll only
be able to watch the TVin and VideoIn on the TV out? or can the card
write the picture to the AGP card directly?

An alternative I suppose would be:

1 DVI AGP card
1 DVI 'all in one' PCI type card.

But I think this PCI card will need to display the same image on
the DVI as it puts out on the TVout/VIDout

I'd rather not use 2 PCI slots, but I suppose I could:

1 DVI AGP card
1 DVI PCI card
1 TVin/Tuner/out, Video In/Out PCI Card

I know Nvidia along with ATI are at the top for 3D on the AGP side.
but I"m having trouble finding info on PCI video cards, and I really
don't know who to look to for all the In/Out capture stuff. I know
ATI does that on their AIW cards but If I wanted something separate
from the video card, who does that?

Lastly, can anyone think of any features/capabilities these setups
wouldn't let me do?

EDIT: What about IEEE 1394? I was planning on having a 1394 port
on a different card, but is there any advantage to having it right
on the Video In/Out card?

Thanks,

-Kyle

One more time??

I've been looking at the ATI all in wonder, and Nvidia's personal Cinema.

I knew the AIW is a full video card (single head I think?) but I originally
though the PC was a PCI card that worked along side some other NVIDIA
AGP card. Now I'm not so sure. Does anyone know if the PC has a full
video card built in?

I prefer the idea of having the TV I/O, tuner, capture stuff on a separate
card because it should allow more flexibility in choosing a 3d Video card.

Lastly, Do all Nvidia GeForce boards support Stereo 3D? or only the ones
that actually ship with the glasses? can you buy glasses separately for the
others?
