I want info on the most reliable/longest range Wireless router

I have a d-link wirless (b) router, and it is incredibly flakey. It seems like my computer will only be connected at %50 (time/ and signal) The router is on the other side of the house, on the upper level so it is pretty far away.

I want to know what routers are the most reliable (are ALWAYS connected) and the longest ranges. Do wireless G routers have bigger ranges than B or what? how does that all work.

Well there are few options.

You can buy professional level Wireless Hardware from Cisco or Proxim, or you can invest time learning about Wireless, and might be able to solve the problem with Entry Level Hardware.

About 802.11b or g, or pre N capabilities you can read in the middle of this page.
