I've bought the speakers. I'm still sticking with 2.1 systems. Now I wanna get decent sound cards for my desktop and laptop to step up the sound quality. What do you guys recommnend for sound cards?

1. Laptop

2. Desktop

Thank you!

The Creative lAB Audigy 2NX is a USB internal device, and it can be installed on both your desktop and laptop and move between them as need. Hook it to a good speaker system and it is excellent. It has a nifty remote control as well.

This allows you to be working on your desktop and playing some good stuff on the laptop and controlling it easily. It is small and very capable with all the specs you cited.

This is it in my hand:

2NX

Ok, thanks. I may still want a desktop card too. I used to have the Turtel Beach Santa Cruz card and I like it. Any suggestions for a capable desktop card at a reasonable price? Any deals?

I dunno except for some features they provide I really don't think its worth the price of getting sound cards I just stick with onboard

Would an external solution work w/ both as well?
