FIOS is 15 mb/s download and 5mb/s upload internet connection. It is the same price as cable ($49). You can get a 30/10 for $299 per month with static IP (best for buisnesses though).

I'll be able to get it in a few weeks but I won't. DSL does everything I need.

Do you know that your phone service will be converted to FIOS as well, unless you specifically tell them to keep it on copper? They install a battery backup system to keep your phone working in case the power goes out. The electricity needed to keep your phone working then becomes your responsibility, not the phone company. That will cover you for about 24 hours tops.
