Umm, it has been redone, although the game itself is really the same. At least I couldn't tell the difference.

As above poster stated, that Redux is 1.01, 1.02, 1.1, and 1.2 patches, new vehicles, maps, and the World War II mod, based on the previous Battlefield 1942.

heh, BF:V was hilariously horrible. One decent pilot+gunner in a huey would single handedly win the map. There were some funny moments though, like repeatadly sniping pilots right as they got into a huey over and over.

They could have saved the world and reversed the decline of the franchise if they had just made helicopters as vulnerable to ground fire as they should be (and stayed away from jets, which are stupid in small constrained maps). You start pouring fire into a chopper from close range and that pilot is going to leave the area, and soon. BF-V started the trend of nearly-indestructible choppers in BF games, which sucks. The infantry part of the game was actually tons of fun.

That game was fun back in the day. Heh the M60 before the first patch was too fun  It was definitely unbalanced (as the above poster said about Hueys) and the planes were pretty horrible but overall it was a great game IMO

I think if they made the maps much bigger in the next Battlefield, the jets wouldn't have such a hey day, and also, a fighter jet is a fighter jet, not a bomber jet, so have jets concerning only their role, that sort of thing, and have lots of vehicles, so peeps aren't TKing as much for vehicles.

That, and maybe make them land to refuel and repair. But the problem is, if you make the maps large enough for jets to make sense then infantry combat gets too spread out. It would be a different game, with different dynamics entirely.

IMO, jets just shouldn't have been in the game, period, other than maybe as something the commander could call in like artillery to target armor.
