Good points! I don't want to get anybody blacklisted, and I'm already seeing that spam is being stopped all over the place.

This software does scan the entire message, so it would not just pick up your name. Eh, thanks anyway.
 
Not at all. I'm evaluating Surf Control's spam filter for 30 days, and I want to see how good it is. My sales rep claims that I won't be disappointed. I just want to make sure.

It will be a little more difficult forwarding you spam since it would be coming from our addresses instead of the spammer's address. The SurfControl won't recognize our lookups in the RBL, or worse yet it will learn that we are spammers and send our addresses to the company to be added. 😕

If you're testing SurfControl because you have spam problems, then wouldn't you rather see how much of THAT gets blocked against your baseline, instead of skewing the results with our junk? 😛

Don't do that! He's only testing it. You guys do this and you're making it an easy sell for the rep. 😀 And you put the entire domain at jeopardy.

I can already see that it is working without additional traffic. In one hour it has blocked 34 spam messages, 3 offensive/derogatory messages, and delayed one message with large attachments. (3.5mb)
