I want a silver case, what options are there for silver drives?

I have several cases right now that I am looking at getting and they all happen to be silver. Anyway, I noticed there are some silver drives that can be found, but not many. Is there any way to replace the front plates with silver ones if I just got white drives? What options do I have?

Any interest in black drives? Black on silver would give you some contrast.

I haven't seen many silver front plates but as mechBgon stated black might be a option. Here is the case that I now use for my server. Another option would be to paint the plates silver. The slot loader in the picture was beige to start. It's really pretty easy to pop off the face plate and paint it.

Spray paint as the others have said. Krylon makes a spray paint called Plastic Fusion that is great. No sanding, priming, clear coat, etc. required. Just clean the piece you're painting, spray it and it comes out looking great. I just painted my old Dell M990 monitor black and it looks brand new.

Surprisingly, I've found that beige drives don't look awful in a Lian-Li, but upgrading to black was a slight improvement. Of course, aluminum faceplates would look best (from Macro2's link). I'm still considering such an upgrade.

I painted mine but just ordered 2 new silver optical drives (I have a Lian-Li PC-60). The silver drives look much better than the painted ones IMO. I also bought a side window for the case which looks perfect on there. I really like the Lian-Li cases.

Some companies offer replacement faceplates.
I know Coolermaster offer silver bezels for drives that can be purchased seperately.

Other companies do the same I think, nor sure who.
