I'll be getting it declawed if I get one.
And it's not a fucking crutch, shut the fuck up if you don't know what you're talking abuot. I'm sick and tired of hearing it from people in real life, if it was just a crutch then it shouldn't be listed in the DSM as a fucking disability

It will be a kitten. no more than 2 months old MAX.
I wouldn't do that to an older cat but I'm trying to score a cat very young

it's painful. they do sedate the cat to do the procedure. (at least from what i remember my dad telling me about it) but he had his cat declawed when it was a kitten and it had plenty of time to get over any hard feelings (the cat lived 18 years if I remember correctly). give it some thought before you have it declawed and look at the alternatives. if you are the type who won't be able to stick to a schedule of trimming the nails at least twice a week, well, i'll leave it at that..

no, it's to eliminate my worry for my cat ruining my parents living room sofas and things such as that.
I hear cats enjoy using their feet which I have no objection against I just don't want to chance it scratching things that are very expensive in the household and easily accessible. I want my cat to enjoy things I have in the house without running risk of the cat unintentionally destroing it
