That seems to be the current mentality of smartphone design. Bring PDA abilities to the phone. I'm waiting for someone to bring phone abilities to the PDA. And yes there is a difference.

I work a lot with MS Outlook 2003, so a Windows-based PDS will be the obvious choice.
...then I guess I can't help you. I was just about to recommend something with Palm OS. It's a lot "snappier" than anything Windows-based. (Snappy = quick response to user input)
