Actually, I think the 690 may become the best dual GPU card made by nVidia. The GK104 has proven to be efficient. With a proper VRM I think the cards will provide great clock speeds with manageable thermals. I expect it to be a huge step up from the 590s. Get two of them in SLI (quad SLI) and you'll have excellent performance with a good chance at some overclocking headroom.
