I'm kicking myself for missing the $130 after MIR deal for the eVGA at ZipZoomfly a short while back, but I need a new video card, an eVGA GeForce 6600 GT, fast. By Friday. Right now on the RTPE, TigerDirect has one for $133 after MIR, Monarch has one for $140 after MIR, and ZipZoomfly has one for $148 after MIR. What I'm wondering is this: If I ordered the card from TigerDirect and payed their $8.38 s&h, would I get the card by Friday in New Jersey? How about at Monarch if I used their free shipping?

Newegg has an AGP evga 6600gt for $144 AR
Leadtek PCI-e for $144 AR

$3/$4 for 3 day shipping.

I've ordered from ZZF before also and you get free second day air with them, don't you?

Ehhh...I really don't want to spend more than about $130. I'm already pushing my budget a little.

Yeah, I know, but I need certain scaling options that are only available on Nvidia cards, so the X800 GT is out.
 
Ya both monarchcomputer.com and zipzoomfly.com have really cheap evga 6600GT cards. Both sites have a rebate. Zip has a $15 rebate and monarch has a $20 rebate. Thats where you want to get one if you do.

That ZipZoomFly MIR is only for the AGP version, but I would buy it in an instant if it was for the PCI Express version. Thanks anyway, though.

And the ZZZ card is currently out of stock 🙁
 
Well monarch has the PCIE version with a rebate. Its $160 with a $20 rebate. So $140 shipped free. And it IS in-stock.

Yes, yes, true. However, "something suddenly came up" and I don't need a card by Firday anymore. But really, I don't. It's still the sooner the better, though, but I'm not sure if I should wait until October for more potential rebates or better deals since all of these ones seem to be ending on the last day of September, just like all of last month's ended on the end of August, and see if there are any better deals but take a gamble on the prices increasing, or buy one now and forget about getting a potential lower price. Then I start thinking, the later I buy this card, the longer amount of time I have for newer cards to be released that I can Step-Up to within 90 days of my purchase with eVGA's deal. Hmmm...What do you think I should do?
 
Oh, the prices just got shuffled a little bit. The Leadtek 6600 GT just became $138 AR at ZipZoomFly. What do I need to know about Leadtek? Thanks.
 
Leadtek is good also.

Personaly id suggest finding someone on forums selling a 6800 gt for $230-250. The 6600GT is to middle range. If you wait, prices will come down a bit but....of course you wont have the card till then to play with. 6600gt is fine and all but its more of a value card. Get a card that will last longer. Get a 16pipe 6800GT with a lifetime warranty for $250 or so. Thats a better use of money.

Also if you find someone on forums selling one, there is a 10% off ebay/paypal coupon. Have the person list it for you on ebay and use the 10% off, will make the card $225 or so. Thats what I did.
 
Eh, I'd have to save up for that, and I kind of want a new card, and sooner rather than later. For the games I play (mostly MMORPGs and the like), a 6600 GT will be plenty enough, and I could Step-Up if I needed to with the eVGA card. Thanks for the advice, though.
 
If all you need is a 6600gt, get that. I guess if you have limited funds, there is only so much you can get. I just think a 6800gt for $250 or so is a better use of money. 6600gt's are plenty cheap lately. Probably could find one here on forums for pretty cheap as well. Remember monarch has the evga 6600gt for $140AR. Its not gonna get to much cheaper than that for online stores. Its to bad you dont use agp, the agp card is $124AR at zip.

😛 Thanks for all the help, but the 6800 GT is almost double my budget, so, ya'know.

Anyway, thanks. I hope I'll be getting the 6600 GT soon.

Nothing except its Aopen. Also, its gonna be slightly more expensive with the $5 shipping. And depending if he lives in cali, newegg charges tax. So it would be over the $140 price at monarch.
 
Yes, but no rebates to be 'lost in the mail'

And if he ordered from NewEgg Tuesday he'd probably have it by Thursday.
