I have no clue what is good and what isn't. I have a DVD burner now, so I want to start making my own DVD movies. It can be USB 2 or Firewire. Please mention good DV Cams or good forums/sites I can check out. Thanks alot.

im only finding threads on digital cameras. Not digital video cameras. I'm looking for something middle of the road as far as budget is concerned.

You really gotta be specific man... Middle of the road can mean $1500 to some and $800 to others.. Also, is it just for home use or what? Do you plan on editing the footage? Well, you probably do since you mention it needing a firewire jack (standard now on DV cameras).. Application, budget, and anything else you'd think would help us understand your needs

That being said the DV camera market is a crowded field.. I would get either a sony or a panasonic camera... Panasonics are often great bargains - a 3ccd camera for less than $900 is a steal.. But if you don't know what 3CCD is than you probably don't need it..
