I want a bot.

What I am looking for is a "bot". When my friends log on to aim/msn/etc.... I want the "bot" to strike up a conversation.Then after a few lines let on that it is a bot. Such a thing would need to work on one of the more popular linux im clients.Is this just crazy talk?
 
I'm sure things like this exists... hell, first time i ran into a bot was back in the old BBS days. This was with DOS and an old BBS system like PCBoard or some such. And i've ran into bots with ICQ as long as 6-7 years ago. So i'm sure there are bots out there for Linux too, you just need to find them.

Now the question is... why?
