I would be happy with 5ghz and not a p4 or p5 an Amd 5ghz and not xp5000+ but a real 5ghz perhaps xp7400+ and an nVIDIA 9600 1gb ram (DDRIII). It would suck with dial up though.

I don't want to be greedy and ask for high numbers like 50 so I'll just ask for a "1", that's right just a 1 terahertz cpu, and I'm willing to wait 2 years, doesn't matter if AMD or Intel reaches the mark, or perhaps even forge an alliance and work together to produce the chip faster.

And somebody to give the Audigy 2 some competition. Turtle Beach is at a stall right, nothing really new innovative yet from the other companies, maybe Hercules 7.1.

I second that. I put two Maxtor Plus9's onto Raid 0 recently, jeez those puppies fly! 90Mb a second sustained!

i didnt know you'd have a 20x multiplier though...my max is 14.5x on my kt133 chipset mobo =\

It's that 106 MHz FSB that's making you have to wait. Theoretically it should have the same HD performance, but high FSB systems just feel so much 'snappier' (plus run so much faster in demanding apps ).

either a cheap 1700+, a 2100+, or spring for the 2500+
my kt133 just screams for a 2500+

also anyone purchased any T-bred B's recently between 1700+ and 2100+ and know the stepping ???
wouldn't that be interesting if the 1800+ had the same stepping as the 2100+ but i doubt it does
