touch your middle finger to your thumb, making a rough egg shape. Flip the tip of your tongue towards the back of your mouth, and press down on it with those two fingers, still holding the egg shape (all your other fingers should be out of your mouth). Close your jaws over your fingers, and press your lips together (but only slightly! They shouldn't touch, they should just make a good seal around your fingers, except in the middle). Blow. Practice a lot, you'll get it.

Or the two-hand method, which may or may not be easier: Using your middle and forefinger on each hand, push your tongue straight back towards the middle of your mouth. Once again, partly close your lips. Blow. This one can get FREAKING LOUD.

when every guitar solo is bolstered by incessant whistling, every jingle of every ad is whistled along with, and the person has no clue how annoying it is - yep. it gets old in about 8 seconds. but, i'm not about to tell him to STFU, so i'm going to STFU instead
