I wanna get more memory on my Rio 500, what kind does it use?

I know it uses Flash but do i need to buy a certain brand?

You'll need smartmedia, sandisk is good company, uses 64mb sandisk but rumors that 128mb may also work. You'll need a firmware update for 64mb i believe.. use pricegrabber.com and search for 64 smartmedia.. they're like paper thin.. direct link here - hope it works...

you can also get a 64mb one at newegg.com for 29 plus 4 bucks shipping. they're a good vendor from my experience and lots of other anandtechers. the 128mb one is 65 bucks if that works for you.

I hear the firmware update that lets the rio500 use 64mb smartmedia cards is the last one. I remember someone saying it can actually access 128mb of expanded memory, but the rio500 makers just don't want to make another firmware update.
