I was in the same position as you.

I used to play WoW, a year or so ago, then quit.

9 months ago I started dating this girl.. then found out a bunch of my friends were playing and I started craving it.

I downloaded WoWGlider, and now my computer plays WoW for me all day. I'm almost lvl 60 since my char grinds all day for me... So instead of craving WoW when I'm working or with my gf, I am just pleased to know I'm technically grinding all the time. Then, when I do have free time, I can run instances.

It's the best of both worlds!

lmao...you paid $25 for that? i hope you get caught, and you will eventually. so you paid for WoW, you pay monthly, and paid $25 for that program only to be banned from the game.

This is a bad time right now to be doing much of anything in WoW. The PVP system is going to be overhauled in the next few weeks, so your progress there will be minimal. Raiding is sort of sucky right now because simple quest blues in the expansion will outclass the raiding gear you spent hundreds of gold and dozens of hours wiping on. And there will be an excuse to reroll one of the new races when the expansion comes out.

I just PVP and casually raid now, and for me, getting to rank 13 was easier than maintaining a hardcore raid schedule. I could pick and choose when I wanted to be on. If I want to go out Friday night, I could make up my honor some other time during the week. You don't have that sort of freedom in a raid guild that requires 80% attendance or something. I'm really looking forward to the PVP revamp because there will be a lot more for me to work toward, on my own schedule and at my own pace. I don't have to raid from 5PM - 1AM Wed,Fri,Sun or whatever

Come back when things in-game have settled down a bit, but stay out for now.

Don't play it, simply because it's an overrated game just like every game Blizzard has ever made. Play something from Origin/TTLG/Ion Storm instead.

Don't do it. That game is mind-numblingly repetative, especially at level 60.... and some of the people that you'll be raiding with... Yikes.

WoW is perhaps the most overrated game ever to be produced.

if you do, then say good by to your social skills, 'cuz after you find out that you wasted your time, you will have realized you just wasted your time.

otherwise, if you really want to, no one is stoppin' you! lol

I agree. OP, do what I did in college. Get drunk almost every day.

Don't see why not, just keep in mind how easy it is to lose yourself in it - look at all the jackasses here who have and who now prowl the software forum day and night, looking for souls to save, preaching about the evils of MMORPGs - and put it down if you feel it's affecting your grades or social life.

You've already made the decision... when it comes to WoW, our opinions ultimately won't matter.

With XPac coming up (mid Jan) and raids being trimmed to 25, you may as well wait unless your life is THAT boring. Being in a casual-hardcore guild, we do Naxx about 4 times a week but don't raid on weekends. If you do come back, I would suggest a guild that has weekends off to help prevent burnout.

I'm either too far away or too close to my target. Meanwhile the enemy kicks my ass (usually it's a stupid baby timber wolf) while I'm trying to stand exactly 5.43295 feet away for my attack to work. Am I stupid?

Right click target to attack... bye.
