ok here's what i'd like to do:

I'd like to put a monitor + keyboard + mouse in the main area of my house, to make it sort of a family terminal.

I also want to run it from my computer, but of course, i'd like it to be independant of my computer (as in it doesn't affect what i'm doing)

I guess one possiblity would be to build a small box and run an ethernet cable to it and build a small intranet site (what i'd like to do

is make like a family message board or such), but what i'd prefer to do is build a small intranet site, but have the terminal

use my computer, and possibly put more than one.

Also i run XP Professional, could I have more than one user logged in at a time from each terminal?


Just some ideas I'd like to play with...

only if i can hook up the maid to a wireless network...

although a remote controlled robot controlled via ethernet isn't unheard of, besides

i don't want my terminals to move... and my Trans Am flies for me 🙂
