When the Playstation 2 first came out, I waited in line for 12 hours in the freezing rain in front of Best Buy. They only had 5 available and I was number 12.

When I finally bought it at Toys R Us the next day (They kept quiet so no one would know), I realized it was such a disappointment. I haven't touched my PS2 for a year. I think it's more of an ego booster to have the PS2 before anyone else than it is to actually own one and play with it! in
 
You waited ONLINE in freezing rain ??? 😕

I didn't think one can ever wait online or on line 🙂...in line maybe.
 
I did that way back when Star Wars Episode I came out - BIG mistake

*might want to change the title to "I waited in line for 12 hours in the freezing rain!" - waiting online in the rain makes no sense - i get this image of a guy sitting in front of his computer outside in the rain waiting for a page to load.

oh yeah - i'll give you 60 bucks for your ps2 if it works

I'm still waiting for two pricedrops... and if GT4 comes out before that... i dont think i can wait. 🙁
 
Did the PS2 cause more lines, or did the N64? I guess when the PS2 came out, the hype was multiplied by the internet. When the N64 came out, the internet wasn't all that.
 
I got the GT3 PS2 package, it wasnt' when it first came out, but it was still freaking expensive.. $449 i think... (Canadian)

now it's like 200 bucks... booo.
 
i camped out overnight at our local best buy to get the ps2 and i played it religiously until my gf moved in. we only had one tv and it really wasn't fair to monopolize it.
 
Do you feel guilty for wasting 12 hours of your life and 300+ bucks on a damn game?
