I (in my arrogant human know-it-all spirit) used to think time travel was next to impossible because if it was, someone from the future would have already contacted us and we would know, the only was it was possible is if THEY somehow managed to keep it a secret from us after countless visits (since we would be dealing with an eternity's worth of visitors) OR the human race died out before we figured out how to travel through time. BUT what if THEY have managed to keep it a secret through making us believe in the paranormal?? That would be the perfect guise would it not? No scientific proof, a 50/50 belief statistic among society, huh, huh? I think I might be in that mood.....

That theory is pretty decent, to me it makes complete sense to cover up the paranormal with time travel, they talked about this in the matrix, that whenever someone saw a ghost or anything paranormal it was a bad program, but this could also be applied to time travelers.

I like peas and I believe they came from the future, because they are green!! GREEN ALIENS. Peas are nice with carrots because when I was younger I had a pea and I ate it with a fork! HAHA. OMG, it was from the future because the pea was so delicious.

Well ... I know that if you bypass the failsafes on the stargate, and you happen to go through a star, it will ofset time and you will be sent back in time a good 20 or 30 years.

To believe in time travel is to believe that there are endless parallel dimensions and/or that everything has already happened and somehow we are living in the past whereas there are exact copies of us living in the past only seconds behind, and another copy even milliseconds behind, etc etc... That's just silly...

But to also believe this parallel universe theory want must also take into accouns the other parrallel universe where our decisions may be diverged and so there are billions of universe where choices takes place and exists at the same time.

is it?

Unless you'd like to believe your life is already totally completed and that you are just following in a pre-determined set of unchangeable footsteps, therefore having no control over your life... then yes it is silly.

NERD ALERT!!!

What makes me a nerd? The fact that I can use logic and express it with words?

Ummm... No you wouldn't.

Yes, you would. If someone can travel back in time, that means that they can be in the future as we speak. If I'm in the past, and he's in the future, that is multiple dimensions. If this guy from the future's past is exactly like my life now, then everything is already predetermined. Unless of course the guy from the future has a different past then what I am currently living, which would make it rather pointless to travel back in time to. But even if that were so, how do you know this guy from the future couldn't travel back to a time/dimension where they would already have technology even better then his? Eh? Do you choose what dimension out of a seemingly infinite number of dimensions to go to?
