Gotta love the old school dance moves. Was there any part of that song that was original, and not sampled from something else?

You had a Convertible 5.0 Mustang?

Nice car.

I was fixing this car for our oldest girl to drive. She doesn't want to behave so she can buy her own car now. This one is going down the road. It is a 5.0 with a 5 speed. The fuel injection was giving me trouble so I tossed it and converted it to a carb. Now it runs great. I also installed a HEI distributor and an external carter electric fuel pump. The top has been replaced, glass is good, air conditioning doesn't work, drives nice. Has the 8.8 traction lock rear. Drive this project while you work on it. Clear title in hand. Delivery is available.

That spin step move@2min30sec is still way cool. Is there an actual name for the move?
I bet I will be hella cool if I bust that move in da club!

Aye, by far the most common car I have ever seen modded to stand up 80 degrees from a cold stop it has so much torque

I still have one.

so basically it was slower than a toyota camry. :D

07 Camry is about a 14.6 car, 88 5.0 Stang is about a 14.2.

So it's up to the driver of the stang to be on his game.

I've wanted to get a 5.0 as a project car :( Never have quite enoug hmoney at once, cuz I always end up squandering it away on computer parts or fixing my truck.

Man, that takes me back. There was a guy in my high school who rolled in a brand new red hardtop 5.0. that was a badass car back then, especially for a high school kid.

1987 /= 2007. Apples to apples, people.

In reference to 1987 Camry:
"The 1987 redesign brought a much-improved engine, with a full 115 horsepower thanks to four valves per cylinder and dual overhead cams." Quite the screamer.
From Here

The 5.0 Mustangs were extremely competitive for the time.

I had a 1985 GT. I rushed out to buy one because I JUST HAD TO HAVE the last of the carbureted 302 becuase all the talk was that fuel injection was going to kill the muscle car. It was a great little car. Very fast for the time and still got 27mpg at 70mpg with a carb so it was not too shabby in both performance and economy. Kind of funny in retrospect, especially when you consider I do a lot of conversions going form carbs to fuel injection these days. The only reason the Shelby is not fuel injected is because it is a Shelby and because it has 4 downdraft 48 IDA Weber carbs but all the other Mustangs are either fuel injected or will be.

Still are but only because you will almost never find one that is 100% stock.
