I used to always go into the cockpit on planes when I was young.. has this been outlawed?

Those were the days, when the captain would invite me to see the cockpit.

I'm sure they don't do that anymore, though.

I always loved flying when I was younger for that very reason.

In a few cases I've asked if I could man the controls and, as long as a co-pilot is next to me, they actually let me use the joystick a few times. Something they said they like to do on the long flights, when high up, is have somebody go in and in 15 seconds press all the buttons and levers they can, and then the pilots go in and it's a game to see how quickly they can figure out what the passenger did, and try to fix it.
